I'm glad to hear that you're having a good time. Your friend with the long wedding story can know that your family isn't likely to think anything bad about her for that. I was ridiculously uncomfortable with a wedding I went to last year, and all that pastor did was go on and on about how the wedding ring had no beginning and no end like GOD's love, and I was like "dude, they're not marrying God, they are marrying each other, that's what their rings are symbolic of"
